Hello lovelies!
This is my first ever blog piece - Oooh, how scary!
Well, I'm Jade and I'm an 18 year old journalism student from South Wales. I absolutely love my course, and well, I thought this would at least help me along with it.
Anybody who knows me will know that i'm
slightly very obsessed with shopping, particularly any shopping that involves cosmetics and other beauty related items. So expect to see A LOT of beauty related posts on here!
Also, i'm really interested in YouTube and attempting to start working on that and combining some blog posts with YouTube videos, so if you'd like to, check out my channel over at www.youtube.com/jadebloggs
I'm not really sure what else to say here, so i'm gonna leave you with 10 random facts about me!
1) My favourite colour is yellow. I'm seriously obsessed with all things yellow - I kid you not, right now, i'm browsing the internet for a yellow blanket; which leads me onto fact number 2!
2) I LOVE blankets. If i'm at home, 90% I will have a blanket wrapped around me. They're super lovely and warm, and I love being warm. Right now I'm sitting with my favourite cream sheepskin blanket. Am I that predictable? Yes.
3) I'm 5'3, which really is only 1 inch below average, however, I always feel outrageously short. Please someone, let me grow a few more inches!
4) I would absolutely love to move to another country. Anyone who's been to Wales will tell you about the weather here; it's cold, rainy, and the sky is always white. Literally, the sky here looks like one humongous cloud. Now I have what I like to call '
self diagnosed S.A.D' in that when the winter comes, I get super depressed about how cold it is, how short the days are etc.., but as soon as it becomes summer again, I get some kind of mania and become super happy just from the sunlight. So I figured, why not just move somewhere sunny! California or Australia would be lovely.
5) Raspberry is the best! Seriously, anything that tastes like raspberry or smells like raspberry is just perfection. Currently next to me are a box of Pim's raspberry jaffa cakes I brought back from France. I really don't wanna finish them but
they're just too good!
6) I'm currently attempting to learn to play the ukulele. I've always been somewhat musical (Yes, I was one of those awkward kids that played the recorder! Oh dear!) but i've never played any instrument like a ukulele or guitar before. I'm in the process of learning my first song; Vance Joy - Riptide. Here's hoping I get a lot better.
7) I'm pretty pale. Considering that the majority of my heritage is Irish and Welsh, it's pretty much expected. However, I will never let it go that i'm not as tanned as most people.
8) I love cooking. I didn't really start cooking until about 2 years ago, when my mum finally gave in and let me cook
without destroying the kitchen. Now I cook all the time. Not to sound big headed, but I make the best steak ever!
9) In the future I would love to be a feature writer. I just think you can be so much more fun with words in feature writing compared your typical news story. Plus, I feel it's less robotic,
for lack of a better word, in that you can actually show some personality with words. I think it's pretty cool!
10) I'm getting braces in 26 days! That's right, i'm gonna be an adult with braces. My life is literally going to mimic Ugly Betty. How am I feeling about it? So so so excited. My teeth are pretty messed up so I really can't wait to have straight teeth.
