2015 Revisited: Was I Successful?

Hey hey lovely people!

Okay, now here's the time where I just embarrass myself...willingly.

So in January 2015, I made a post called 'My 2015', where I had 10 goals to achieve in 2015.

Of course I completely forgot about it like every person that makes a New Year Resolution.

So, it's New Years Eve, I'm folding and putting away some clothes, watching the news (#TurntLife) when I suddenly remember about that dreaded post.

So, let's judge how much of a failure 2015 was!

Yeah, definitely didn't achieve this at all. My blogging has been beyond awful this year, what with my

10 Minute Meals: (Un)Healthy Salad

Hey hey lovely people!

The best thing about blogging again after a major blogging drought (sorry about that by the way) is having what I'm now referring to as bloggers eye.

Seriously, even the smallest things now make me think 'You know what, this could totally be a post'.

Well, that's what happened today.

Let's set the scene:

Picture a wild, hungry Jade, stepping into the kitchen in anticipation of a quick yet super yummy lunch.

Now, I've had an on-off cold for about three weeks now, so I wanted something healthy, in the desperate hope that I'll be able to breathe through my nose again. One issue though: ain't nobody got time to compromise on yumminess!

Ladies and gentleman, I present the 10 minute (un)healthy salad!

Blogmas Day 9 - I'M FINALLY CURED

Hey hey lovely people!

Now, I know the title seems weird, but hear me out!

Okay, so as you know by now, since getting my braces on in April this year, I've had chapped lips. Now, initially, it was fine, I'd get bouts every 2 weeks or so, but it was completely manageable.

Then, about a month ago, it became extreme. I constantly had chapped lips without a break. My lip skin was peeling everyday and began stinging when I applied certain lip balms.

It's sounds so stupid but it was actually making be feel pretty sad, like it was never ending.

Well, that was until a few days ago, thank to a tip from my cousin: Use Vaseline.

No, I'm not talking about that little Vaseline lip therapy you get in a tin, I'm talking about full on, straight up Vaseline.

So, the next day, I popped into Boots and picked up a tub of Vaseline for just over £2, so already, I'm getting a better value for money, look at the size on it!!

Low and behold, ever since, my lips haven't cracked or peeled once. IT'S A MIRACLE!

So, to everyone suffering from really bad chapped lips, seriously, go out and get some Vaseline. It sounds so simple, and it is!

So, how many of you have ever had really bad chapped lips? Let me know in the comments below!

As always, thank you so much for reading & I hope you have a lovely day!

Blogmas Day 7: Five Reasons Why....You Should Exfoliate

Hey hey lovely people! We're already one week into Blogmas. I know the posts are kinda mediocre at the moment, but as soon as my uni deadline week is over, expect some extreme, photo filled, #SplitsOnTrees realness posts! (Okay, maybe not the last point, but still, be prepared)

Now, let's begin today post with the start of a new series, named 'Five Reasons Why'.

Today, 5 reasons why....You should exfoliate.

1) To Improve Your Skin's Texture

Okay, let's start with the obvious one. Exfoliation will remove all of the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin, therefore letting the newer cells take their place and leave your skin feeling lovely and smooth.

2) To Stay Looking Young For Longer

So now you know that when your dead skin cells are renewed, newer ones take their place. Well, over time, with regular exfoliation, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can be reduced.

3) Helps Clear Spots

This is especially for acne prone/oily skin, as these skin types shed more skin cells, but they stick to the skin a lot easier. This can lead to them building up and the skin producing more oils, which in turn can both block your pores up.

4) Reduce The Size Of Pores

So, we just discussed that lack of exfoliation can lead to blocked pores. Well, blocked pores appear bigger because of all that's in them. Unblock the pore and it will reduce in size!

5) To Moisturise Properly

This one is especially true for those with dry skin. Now, when we get dry skin, we tend to slap on some moisturiser, thinking it'll cure it. Now, look at it like this. Dry skin happens from a buildup of dry skin cells, which, in turn, you're trying to hydrate?! Instead, exfoliate those cells away, and then, moisturise the new cells underneath.

Voila! Lovely skin for all!

So, what do you like to exfoliate with?
Personally, I love to use LUSH's Ocean Salt and my Olay exfoliating brush, but deep down, I'd kill for a Clarasonic!

As always, thank you so much for reading & I hope you have a lovely day!
