Blogmas Day 6: My Top 5 Netflix Series

Hey hey lovely people! I've had a pretty busy day today baking cakes and cupcakes for my cousins birthday party, so apologies in advance for this short post.

Now, I'm the self titled Queen of Netflix. Literally, I watch Netflix everyday. Already have today, planning to after I've written this.

Because of this, I felt that it was my duty to enlighten you all on my top 5 shows that you need to watch on Netflix!

Enjoy!

1) American Horror Story

Seriously, one of my favourite shows of all time, so much so that I've rewatched each season a fair few times, baring in mind that I only discovered this in November!

Each season is separate from the others, meaning that each season concludes with the final episode. None of the seasons are related at all, so realistically, you could start watching at season 3 and it wouldn't make a difference.

The majority of the cast stays the same, with a few changes each time around, but this doesn't deter the show from being any less great. Admittedly, you do question Ryan Murphy's sanity from time to time, but man, that guy is a genius.

Also, let's not forget to mention the tremendous acting every season from Jessica Lange (My Queen, #BowDown), Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, along with other well known faces like Kathy Bates and Zachary Quinto.

If you haven't started watching this already, what are you even doing?! Start now!!

2) Orange Is The New Black

Perhaps the biggest show that Netflix has to offer, Orange is the New Black centres around the life of Piper Chapman, a self confessed 'white girl', who's life is turned upside down when she goes to prison.

Now, to say I'm obsessed with this show is an understatement. Did I have the season 2 release date stored in my Calendar with a reminder set? Yes. Did I wake up early on said release day to see if it was uploaded? Yes. Did I binge watch all of season 2 in 24 hours? HELL YES!

Again, fab cast and writers, although I don't suggest you binge watch it *Pan to a sad Jade who has to wait until June 2015 for new episodes*

3) Breaking Bad

Another massive cult show on Netflix, Breaking Bad had me hooked (Pun intended).

The story centres around Walter White, a high school Chemistry teacher who's world is shattered when he's diagnosed with cancer.

Struggling to make ends meet and support his family, Walter seeks the help of former pupil Jesse, in a bid to support his family when he's gone, though, things don't always go as planned.

This show was just tremendous. The plot had me gripped, especially in the third and fourth seasons.

My only criticism would personally be the finale, though some people enjoyed it. Either way, you've got to watch this.

4) The League

Now for the wild card choice. That's right, I'm a girl watching a comedy about a fantasy league.

The show centres around Pete, Ruxin, Kevin and wife Jenny, AndrĂ© and Taco, all competing in a fantasy league against each other, all for the glory of winning their trophy, The Shiva.

It's a great, lighthearted comedy that has such a varying cast. You'll easily find yourself relating to at least one character, if not all!

Plus, how can you not love a show with random musical numbers from Jon Lajoie?! Exactly!

5) RuPauls Drag Race

Can I get an Amen?!

Oooh girrrrrll, how have you not watched RuPaul's Drag Race yet?

Think of it as America's Next Top Model, but with drag queens and a hell of a lot more humour and sass!

Seriously, you can't go through an episode without a smile on your face, not to mention that you have 6 full seasons on Netflix to chose from, though I recommend season 4 or 5, my personal favourites.

So that's my Netflix top 5. I can already guarantee that you'll enjoy at least one of these shows. They're all pretty diverse, but still great

    1. They're both really good series! Kinda gutted that BB is over, but definitely looking forward to Better Call Saul! + OMG, get onto to Netflix right now! I can't believe it took me this long to watch AHS! My theory is that if season 1 is your favourite, you'll love season 3, and if season 2 is your favourite, you'll hate season 3! Either way, I loved season 3, unlike most! Haha! Let me know how it goes! xoxo
